April 7th we headed down to Utah early in the morning. We were so excited to spend some time with our family before we left for Texas. The Easter bunny came on Saturday because of traveling to Utah.
Reese was so excited about the Easter bunny, but she was terrible at finding her Easter basket. After searching for about 10 seconds she gave up. I think we need to practice her seeking skills.
Reese carried her Easter basket for the rest of the day. Even on our drive down to Utah she held on to her Easter basket. I think it is safe to say that she was a little bit excited!
On the way to Spanish Fork we stopped in Syracuse to have lunch with Ben's parents. It was so great to spend some time with them and let Reese play in the great outdoors. It was so warm and she ended up getting sunburned from spending so much time outside.
We got to Spanish Fork just in time for our families Easter egg hunt. Reese was interested in picking up candy for about 30 seconds.
After she had enough candy she was only interested in eating it. It was funny to watch the older kids because they were picking up candy as fast as they could as Reese was just content with her 10 pieces of candy.
One of my favorite memories of Easter is going out to my Grandpa's farm and having a hot dog roast in his cow fields and searching for candy and eggs in the cow fields. Unfortunately we didn't go down to Grandpa's farm but we still had hot dogs and hamburgers.
Needless to say we had a great time celebrating Easter. I haven't celebrated Easter with my family for about 6 years now so it was nice to get to be with all of them this year.
