Tanner's Blessing

Last Sunday Ben blessed Tanner.  This blessing was very different than any of our other kids blessings.  Usually we are surrounded by our family and Ben has all of the men in our family stand in the circle to help bless our child.  Usually we have a big feast after the blessing with all of our family, but not this time.

Since we live so far away now, none of our family was able to be here so Ben was the lone man from our family.  We are also brand new to our ward here and haven't made any close friends yet. . . so you can imagine what our little circle looked like.  Ben, the Bishop, the Elder Quorum President, and one friend that we have made while living here for 4 weeks.

It doesn't really matter who stands in the circle, all that matters is that they hold the Priesthood.  I am grateful for the Priesthood and the ability it has to bless my children.

We attempted to take a family picture before church using the self-timer.  It works so well, NOT!

Plus a certain someone did not want to be in our family picture.  I'm not one to name names, but I can bet you can guess who that certain someone was by looking at this picture.

We love you Tanner!  So happy we finally got to have your special day!
