The month of August usually goes by the slowest for me. I always get so excited to go home, visit family, get moved into our new place, and enjoy cooler weather. This summer has been a scorcher! Oklahoma City has been hot, hot, hot and I am looking forward to the cooler weather of Idaho {I never thought I would say that}.
I am also excited for September because my brother Derek comes home from serving a mission for our church!! He has been serving in Brazil for the last two years and I cannot wait to see him again. It is especially exciting for me and Ben because we both served our missions in Brazil and we can't wait to speak Portuguese with him {I am going to need to brush up on my Portuguese}.
We have had a really great summer and had a lot of fun doing different things. We went to the OKC zoo a few weeks ago. We got one good picture {and yes my husband is funny and wears his work clothes and badge EVERYWHERE we go}
The rest of the time Ben took pictures of animals and seriously, who wants to look at a bunch of pictures of animals??? Not me. But it was the thought that counted!
We still go swimming quite a bit and we all love it.
Reese is getting braver and braver in the water. Sometimes I wish she had a life jacket on because I am just waiting for the day when she decides to jump into the pool.Reese is quite obsessed with spending time with her dad in the mornings.
If Ben is around she has to be playing with him or holding his hand. When she wakes up in the mornings the first thing our of her mouth is "dada?" He does not get a break when he is home, he is Reese's playmate. Ben is such a great dad and never complains. We were going to Walmart one morning and Reese decided that she needed to carry a purse just like mommy carries her purse. So she went and got one of our many plastic walmart bags and she brought it with her to go shopping.
She made sure it was with her at all times. Silly girl!
We are getting excited to come home. I am excited for Ben to start his last year at BYUI {YAY}!!! I am excited to see Ben more than 4 hours in a day! I am excited to have a husband again. I am excited to be closer to family! I am just excited and looking forward to everything great that comes with the end of the selling season. Two and a half more weeks and then we are home bound!!!

Look how cute she is!! She seems like a little cheese ball and I love it:) Yay for being almost done and having your husband back! That's great he is almost done with school too. Way to go!
I think I would be excited if I got to see my husband more often, too! And I couldn't wait for the cooler weather of Idaho, either. I've heard that its been bad over there and I think I would just die in that heat. Reese is as adorable as ever! I just love her sweet smiles!
Oh I so know how you feel!! Ha ha! I think all summer selling wives probably do. : ) You are so funny Kristen and I cannot believe how stinkin adorable and BIG little Reece has gotten! I miss you guys! Good luck surviving till the bitter end and have so much fun at home!!!
I bought this really great thing for Amelia for the pool and we both love it! It has the floaties that go up on the arms, but also connected to it is a floatie that goes just across her front. It seriously keeps her up above the water and she can kick and swim all by herself. It's so great because she gets too excited to have me holding her in the pool so this way she doesn't have to be restrained by me. Does the description of it make sense? I got it at Target. If you want more details I can see if I can find a link for it somewhere and send it to you.
Richele has one of the floaties that Amanda is talking about. Caleb loves his. I can't wait to see you guys. And little reesey poo!!
Amanda I know exactly what you are talking about. I have seen those this summer and now I know where to find them. Thanks a bunch!
Going home is the best part of the summer! I love the feeling of being all packed up and getting the heck out! I hope these last few weeks pass quickly for you and that Ben gets lots more sales!!!
