Virtual Baby Shower

Every heard of a virtual baby shower?  Yeah, I had never heard of one until about two months ago.  My sister Michelle moved to Arlington Texas at the beginning of January.  We were extremely excited to have them close for a little bit.

About the middle of January we got a call from Michelle and her hubby Stephen announcing that Michelle was pregnant!  We were all ecstatic for them but the funny thing was Michelle was 23 weeks pregnant and she was just as surprised as the rest of us that she was 23 weeks along.  She hadn't suspected a thing.  She started feeling something moving in her belly and thought she might be pregnant.  When she told Stephen this he told her that it was just muscle spasms in her belly.  Well muscle spasms or not she finally decided that she should probably go and see a doctor!  To Chelle and Stephen's surprise she was pregnant and over halfway done!  We all laughed and laughed when Chelle told us this!

Since all of our family lives in Utah my mom and sisters decided to have a virtual baby shower for Chelle.  Everyone sent me their presents for Chelle and I got to store and wrap all of these cute little presents.

Well the day of the shower came and Chelle came over.  I took her out to lunch and we waited for the hour to come when we got to Skype with our family.  We played games and watched our family eat delicious food and then we watched Chelle open her cute new baby things.

Well the virtual baby shower was a success but it was definitely the weirdest baby shower I have ever attended.  Weird in the fact that it was hard to interact with our family in Utah.  Weird in the fact that we watched them play games and eat their delicious food and drink their Brazilian punch.  We were really wishing we were in Utah right then.

But the point of the baby shower was to celebrate Michelle's cute little addition that will be here in a few short weeks!  We can't wait to meet baby Pieper!
