A vacation from vacationing

Doesn't it seem like after a vacation you need a vacation to recover from your vacation?  And recovering we have been doing.  We have been sleeping in, laying around, watching movies, grocery shopping and trying to get over our darn colds.

We loved being surrounded by our family for three and a half weeks, but by the end of our vacation we were ready to come home.  We were tired of living out of a bag, we were tired of not sleeping well, we were tired of different beds.  It was time to go home.  We loved our time in Utah but after so much vacation it comes to a point when it is time to go home.

Benson and Reese were angels on the airplane again.  I don't know how we got so lucky but they both did amazingly awesome!  I even had a lady come up to me and tell me that my kids did really well on the flight.  I was quite proud of them.

Reese was excited to get home to see her bike and kitchen set.  As we were unloading the car she was running up the stairs to our apartment.  Seeing her excitement when she walked in the door and saw her bike and kitchen set was wonderful!  She was so full of joy and so excited for her new toys.
Unfortunately Reese has no idea how to ride her bike.  The excitement soon left as Ben and I were
pushing her around the parking lot and trying to teach this girl how to pedal and steer that darn bike.

We set goals for family home evening tonight.  One of Reese's goals for this year is to learn to ride her bike . . .  My goal is to have patience while teaching her!

Emma really wanted a bike for her birthday in September and never mastered it before it got too cold outside to even ride it! Hopefully both of them will become pros this summer : )

Aw she looks so happy! I remember it took Olivia forever to learn to ride a bike! It's a hard coordination thing I guess. But once they learn you are in trouble because that is all they want to do. Haha!
